1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, creating or publishing a website, or otherwise using RuledWeb, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.

2. RuledWeb Service

RuledWeb provides infrastructure and tools that enable users to create, author, manage, and publish websites and web content. The Service may include free and paid services, RuledWeb-hosted subdomains, custom-domain publishing, reusable components, layouts and templates, marketplace functionality, AI-assisted authoring, and other publishing capabilities. Features, limits, and availability may differ between plans and may change over time.

3. Free Websites and RuledWeb Subdomains

RuledWeb may allow users to create and publish websites without charge using a RuledWeb-provided subdomain. Free hosting is provided as a platform benefit and does not create a permanent entitlement to hosting, a particular subdomain, storage capacity, traffic capacity, or any specific feature.

• RuledWeb may introduce or change reasonable limits applicable to free websites, including limits relating to storage, bandwidth, pages, forms, traffic, resources, or functionality.
• RuledWeb may change, reclaim, or discontinue free subdomains or free hosting where required for service operation, policy enforcement, abuse prevention, or platform changes.

4. Advertising and Sponsorship on Free Websites

Websites hosted free of charge on a RuledWeb-provided subdomain may display RuledWeb branding, sponsorships, promotional messages, advertisements, or other platform-supported placements.

• RuledWeb may determine the format, location, and presentation of sponsorships, promotional placements, or advertisements on free websites.
• Unless specifically stated otherwise, users are not entitled to payment or revenue sharing from advertisements or sponsorships displayed by RuledWeb on free websites.
• Paid plans may provide different branding or advertising conditions as described for the applicable plan.

5. Your Content

You remain responsible for the text, images, videos, trademarks, business information, products, files, and other content you upload or provide to RuledWeb. You represent that you own that content or have sufficient rights and permissions to publish and use it. You retain ownership of your original content. By publishing content through RuledWeb, you grant RuledWeb a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service. You are responsible for maintaining copies or backups of content that is important to you.

6. Publicly Authored Website Assets

When you use a free RuledWeb-hosted website, website-building assets authored through RuledWeb may be publicly discoverable and reusable. By publishing such assets through a free RuledWeb website, you grant RuledWeb a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, reproduce, modify, adapt, display, distribute, and make those assets available to other RuledWeb users.

• Reusable assets may include styles and design systems, components, sections, layouts, templates, page structures, reusable WDL definitions, and other non-content website-building resources.
• RuledWeb may make those assets available through the RuledWeb Marketplace, component libraries, templates, examples, recommendations, AI-assisted authoring, or other discovery mechanisms.
• Other RuledWeb users may be permitted to use, copy, and modify those assets in their own websites according to the marketplace or asset license applicable at that time.

7. What Is Not Automatically Shared

The reuse permission for website-building assets does not automatically apply to the following unless you separately make them available for reuse:

• Business names, trademarks, and logos.
• Personal information, customer databases, or form submissions.
• Private account information or unpublished projects.
• Original editorial content such as articles, photographs, and videos.

8. RuledWeb Marketplace

RuledWeb may operate a marketplace or public library through which users can discover and reuse website assets. Marketplace resources may be created by RuledWeb or by other users. Availability in the Marketplace does not mean RuledWeb endorses, guarantees, or warrants a particular resource. Marketplace assets may be offered free of charge or under additional licensing or commercial terms. RuledWeb may add, categorize, feature, restrict, or remove marketplace listings.

9. Acceptable Use and Restricted Websites

RuledWeb may not be used to create, host, publish, distribute, or facilitate content or activities involving:

• Illegal activities or content prohibited by applicable law.
• Fraud, phishing, impersonation, scams, or deceptive practices.
• Malware, viruses, malicious scripts, or attempts to compromise systems or users.
• Spam or unsolicited abusive communications.
• Copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property infringement.
• Sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
• Pornography or sexually explicit adult content.
• Trafficking or exploitation of persons.
• Terrorism or violent extremist activity.
• Promotion or sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or prohibited goods.
• Unlawful gambling or betting services.
• Hate content that promotes violence or unlawful discrimination against protected groups.
• Harassment, threats, stalking, or doxxing.
• Unauthorized collection, publication, or sale of personal or confidential information.
• Websites intended primarily to deceive users about their identity, affiliation, or purpose.
• Activities designed to interfere with, overload, exploit, or circumvent RuledWeb infrastructure or security.
• Automated abuse, artificial traffic, or resource consumption that materially affects the Service.
• Any content or activity that exposes RuledWeb, its infrastructure, users, or service providers to material legal, security, or operational risk.

10. Moderation, Suspension, and Removal

RuledWeb may investigate suspected violations of these Terms and may restrict, unpublish, suspend, quarantine, or remove a website, page, content, marketplace asset, or account where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, respond to complaints, protect users or third parties, prevent fraud or abuse, address security risks, or protect the operation and integrity of the Service.

• For serious abuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, fraud, or other circumstances requiring immediate action, RuledWeb may act without prior notice.
• RuledWeb may permanently terminate accounts or delete hosted websites where necessary or permitted under these Terms and applicable law.
• Where reasonably practical and legally appropriate, RuledWeb may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve a violation, but this is not guaranteed.

11. Availability, Backups, and Technical Failures

RuledWeb aims to provide reliable publishing infrastructure, but no online service can guarantee continuous or error-free operation. The Service may become unavailable or experience software errors, infrastructure failures, network outages, third-party service failures, security incidents, data corruption, configuration errors, maintenance, or circumstances beyond RuledWeb's reasonable control. RuledWeb does not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that website content will never be lost. Users should maintain independent copies of important content and business information.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RuledWeb and the Service are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. RuledWeb does not guarantee specific traffic, search rankings, revenue, sales, uptime, business outcomes, or other results from using the Service. Third-party services, integrations, marketplace resources, and user-created assets may operate independently from RuledWeb and may be subject to their own terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RuledWeb will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, where legally permitted, loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data, or content resulting from outages, technical failures, security incidents, third-party services, deletion, suspension, or other operation of the Service. For free services, RuledWeb's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

14. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your website and your use of RuledWeb, including:

• The legality and accuracy of your content.
• Intellectual-property permissions.
• Products or services you advertise or sell.
• Communications with your visitors.
• Privacy notices and consent requirements applicable to your website.
• Taxes and regulatory requirements applicable to your activities.
• Compliance with laws applicable to your business and users.

15. Intellectual Property Complaints

RuledWeb respects intellectual-property rights. If you believe content hosted through RuledWeb infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights, contact pradeep@ruledweb.com. RuledWeb may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content while reviewing a complaint and may terminate repeat or serious infringers.

16. Changes to the Service

RuledWeb is an evolving platform. We may modify features, infrastructure, limits, free-plan conditions, marketplace functionality, advertising arrangements, or other aspects of the Service. Where a change materially affects paid services, additional notice may be provided where appropriate or legally required.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The latest version will be published on the RuledWeb website with an updated effective date. Continued use of RuledWeb after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Termination by Users

You may stop using RuledWeb at any time. Account deletion or website removal does not necessarily revoke rights previously granted to third parties for marketplace assets that they lawfully obtained while those assets were available.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold RuledWeb harmless against claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of third-party rights, products or services offered through your website, or unlawful use of the Service.

20. Privacy

Use of personal information by RuledWeb is governed by the RuledWeb Privacy Policy. Website owners remain responsible for determining and complying with privacy obligations applicable to information they independently collect from visitors through their websites.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms will be governed by applicable law and the jurisdiction specified by RuledWeb's legal entity and operating location. This section may be updated to identify the applicable legal entity, governing law, and dispute forum.

22. Related Policies

These Terms form part of the RuledWeb legal framework and should be read together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Marketplace License. Those policies are incorporated into these Terms where applicable to your use of the Service.
